Post 1: The Country I'd Like to Visit

 

The country I’d like to visit is Greece, mainly because it’s a country with a history that goes back to the roots of civilization, with lots of interesting historical destinies. I’d also like to go there because of the region of Europe in I’d be travelling to: The Balkans. This is a region that also contains lots of ancient and medieval history, beautiful cities comparable to those of West Europe and an immense cultural diversity.

If I were in Greece, I’d probably just focus on learning as much as I can about this country’s history and culture.

About studying in Greece, I honestly don’t know If the country has particularly high academic possibilities for the professionals on government and public management.

The only other thing I know about this country, is that it has a very high cost of living and lots of unemployment, due to economic issues. For the same reason, I wouldn’t consider living nor working there.

Post 4: My Future Job

Immediately after my egress, I would like to get the new major on criminology and management of citizen security that the Institute of Public Matters is now offering throw one of its dependencies: The Center of Studies on Citizen Security. The reason why I want to get this major is mainly because I like the topics involved, like police management, criminal justice management or social reinsertion policies, but also because it offers lots of capacitation on methods and instruments of scientific investigation. I think this would be useful to have an early development on the academic area, before actually entering the public sector. This, of course, would also mean the chance to travel to other countries in search of further knowledge. Now, about my job itself, once I've known more about these things, I would like to work on a ministry, such as the Justice and Human Rights Ministry or the Public Safety Ministry, so I can personally endorse a change on the state's response fr

Post 6: Summer Plans

As you all know, due to the pandemic situation, unless the vaccine is available very soon, summer will probably have strong lockdown measures. Considering this, I'll I have in mind for summer are ideas. I've thought of traveling both to the big north, or to the deep south. I'm more certain of the destinies I would go to traveling to the north. I'd go, hitchiking or on a car, from Caldera and Bahía Inglesa (Copiapo's Height), to The Flamencos National Park (San Pedro de Atacama height), passing through countless regularly unhabited beaches. Post 3: My Favorite Movie

My favorite movie is "Reservoir Dogs", by Quentin Tarantino. The reason why I love this movie it's because it shows the best creative phase of this director, in wich he didn't focus on the gore nor the action of violence itself, but on the plot, using graphic violence just as a tool to increase realism.    Having stated this, I think is pretty obvious that I like the Crime genre. Admiring almost every film of this director (except for the last ones) and other classic crime films such as: The Godfather, Scarface, Man Bites Dog, Pulp Fiction, León: The Professional, Seven, among others. The last movie I saw it's very old. It's called "They Live" and it's about a homeless hitchiker who finds a set of glasses that allow him to discover an horrible truth: human kind has been succesfully dominated by an alien civilization that has secretly ocuppied every place of power or economic prosperity in society, as well as the mass media.  It's truly an ins
