Post 5: TV Shows and Series
When it
comes to TV shows and series, I prefer adult animations above anything else. An
adult animation, in case you didn’t already knew, it’s a partially or totally
animated TV show, that’s directed to adolescent and adult public.
My favorite
adult animations are Family Guy and South Park.
The reason why I like the first show it’s mainly because it has lots of cultural and social criticism on northamerican society. I also like the fact that is not based on the traditionally lineal structure of almost any story, but just on random senseless jokes that usually end up on absurd flashbacks scenes. Some of these are just regular jokes, but some others take graphic humor to another level and will surely make you laugh out loud.

About the second show, I find odd that almost every person I’ve ever asked about it, found it silly or basic. I think this is probably due to the fact that must of the people have just seen parts of the episodes, seeing only basic ways of humor, such as farts or children cursing. I think that if any of these people would actually see an entire episode, they’d realize that deep inside, this show has a very sophisticated and highly politically-toned humor.

This show
has even more criticism than Family Guy, aiming not only for northamerican
society, but for almost any power structure that exists on earth, such as authoritarian governments, religious institutions, activism organizations,
terrorist organizations, among others. This shows a fearless direction, unique
on the genre, that have granted a continuous improvement on the quality of the
content.
